Why buy a Medina-Made?

A Medina-Made strap may not be for everyone. My straps are intended for the customer who enjoys true handmade custom work and enjoys the finer things in life, like the guitars they choose. My straps are intended to match ones taste and personality. You only get that from Medina-Made. It's no secret that when everything is right and perfect you feel better and hence play better.

Where and how are Medina-Made straps made?

I cut them right from the raw hides and other skins, starting from scratch to your specs or mine. Backings are glued and machine stitched using the highest quality nylon wove [extra strong ] thread. I create them in my shop in Lapeer, Michigan, USA.

Will my strap be an original, one of a kind, or will you copy it for someone else?

If you design it, then it's yours totally, and the only way I'll copy it is if you give me the OK first. However, I may make a variation of the strap, changing what i feel is needed.

Are the buckles you use high quality?

One thing to understand here is quality versus beauty. There are many buckles out there that are very expensive and pretty, but should only be used for looks on a dress belt. I do my best to find buckles that are both high quality and ornate.

Will you snail mail me sample leathers and other materials?

Yes, I will work with you in every way to make sure you are totally satisfied. You may incure a small fee for a sample of certain hides or skins, plus postage.

Can I return a Medina-Made strap?

You may return a Medina-Made strap for alteration or other adjustments that are possible, depending on what that is. A small fee may be incurred, plus postage. However, because the strap is custom made I cannot give you a full refund and take the strap back.

Will you copy anything I request?

The short answer to this is no, as that can be a good way of getting in legal trouble because of copyright issues. I will not do it if i feel it will be a problem in the future. However, it won't hurt to ask, though.

How long will my order take?

I will stick to the period of 4-6 weeks from the day I receive your payment. Sometimes it will take a lot less and at a busy spurt it will take every bit of 6 weeks. I do all my work in the order I receive payment.

Why do you accept money orders or cashiers' checks only?

Plain and simple: It's hassle-free and no waiting periods are involved. I've gone the other routes and no thanks.

Do you hate cows so much that you must pulverize their hides?

On the contrary, I love to commemorate a deceased cow by turning their hides into beautiful art work for all to enjoy!
